I am a qualified and experienced humanistic counsellor and therapist, and offer, short-term and long-term, open ended one-to-one online counselling to adults (18+).
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. I attend regular supervision to support my work.
As a humanistic counsellor I take a holistic approach in understanding the unique experiences of my clients and their lives, the relationship with oneself, others, and the world around them. I value the uniqueness of every individual and provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic environment. Clients can express themselves freely, can feel understood, reflect on their experiences and recognise their inner resources and strength. I believe with the right support, using empathy and acceptance, there is the potential for positive change, healing and growth to take place.
You may struggle with feeling depressed & anxious or experience panic attacks, which could be for an number of reasons, such as relationship issues, past and historic problems, family issues, work related stress, bullying, burnout, redundancy, loss, identity issues, low-self-esteem, low-self confidence, feeling sad & hopeless, loneliness, identity struggles, childhood trauma, or emotional abuse. You may also feel overwhelmed by emotions like shame and guilt or always feel responsible for things and experience a high sense of duty and obligation and feel stuck in that and don’t know how to change or to make sense of your experience.
I will support you in making sense of your experiences, understanding yourself better, having more clarity & finding your own insights & resolutions, and growing your self-awareness, building your resilience or overcoming past destructive patterns enabling you to make better choices for yourself & leading a more positive and fulfilled life in the present.
